"We use proven approaches to assess, track and maintain quality."

The Quality Award scheme is an industry lead initiative by the National Park Homes Council to promote quality-based programmes throughout the industry. First announced in 1994, it was devised by park operators to improve the image of the park home industry and recognise those parks that are able to demonstrate a high degree of professionalism in managing their parks and caring for their residents.

The scheme offers a number of benefits. From an industry perspective it shows a firm commitment to raising standards by carrying out regular independent assessments and spot checks based on a philosophy of continuous business improvement. It also encourages park management to help themselves by offering guidance and advice when necessary.

As far as Quality Award parks are concerned, it gives them greater credibility within the industry and marketing opportunities too, with the ability to show a clear distinction between themselves and those outside the scheme.

Most importantly, for park residents it means that they can have confidence in the knowledge that a Quality Award park has committed to abide by a rigorous Code of Practice, with the added assurance that the scheme is regularly monitored to ensure standards are maintained. In addition, membership of the Independent Housing Ombudsman scheme is now a mandatory requirement too.

Jones Vening’s role in managing the scheme is to independently assess each park against the rigorous criteria and, thereafter, monitor their performance to ensure that they comply with the standards required.

The Quality Award scheme is now the benchmark for the residential park home industry and will continue to evolve and grow to meet the needs of residents and industry alike.
